About the role
The Communications Manager leads activities under Step Back Think’s Awareness pillar, drives fundraising activities and manages media and communications. They are responsible for delivery of existing programs – such as Lace Up Against Social Violence campaign, Stamp Out Violence campaign, and Ambassadors & Patrons – and the development of new programs. The Manager oversees external communications and is responsible for growing the Step Back Think brand and reputation. They play a role in securing the ongoing financial sustainability of Step Back Think through fundraising and corporate partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this is a senior management role within the organisation.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced communications professional who has a genuine desire to shape Step Back Think’s work and grow our impact. In this newly created role you will use your communication and management skills to position Step Back Think as a national thought leader. Decision-making will come easily to you, you’re comfortable working independently and you will be capable of setting and meeting deadlines. Working across different areas of the organisation you will use your skills to manage complex projects with competing priorities and timelines.
